A home without child is hell. After marriage every couples dream is to have baby,to cherish his/her lifetime.Parenthood is the great feeling ever one can enjoy in their life.Every person’s life becomes complete after he/she having a child and life is meaningful.

Sometimes things don’t work out.There will be disappointments and huindrances which we have to face in our life.But due to past deeds of our karma or badly placed planets it effects our child or process of receiving the child.The another reasons for lack or progeny are rahu dosha, kalasarpa dosha and pitru dosha.Some pujas are recommended by astrologers to overcome and beget the children.

Shashti puja is dedicated to Lord subramanya, he is the son Lord shiva and Goddess parvati.It is the most powerful pooja, it helps married women to receive the child when performed with complete devotion.

Things to offer water pooja thali, Haldi, Kumkum, Flowers, ghee lamp, Oil Lamp, Incense Sticks, Camphor, Pooja Chowki, sandalwood paste, Fruits, Prasadam, Coconut with Betel Leaves and Nuts. Shasthi puja is performed on the 6th day of krishnapaksha.It falls on the 6th day of full moon day.This puja must be done for 6 years or 12 years.

Shasthi puja’s important procedure to have fasting called as shashti vratam.Women who performing must undergo sahasthi vratam which is most effective way to appease lord skanda or murugan.

Chanting of mantras or Subrmanya kavacha is most helpful for the married couples to bless people with progeny.shashti vratam generally observed for 6 shashti consecutively.
